If there was ever the case that you needed a 1TB SD card then your prayers has been answered as SanDisk is showing off the world's first 1TB SD card at Photokina 2016. According to SanDisk, the announcement of this 1TB SD card comes 16 years since the company introduced the world's first 64MB SD card.

The company says that their upcoming 1TB SanDisk Extreme Pro SD card will be able to record 4K and 8K video effortlessly due to it's disk size and speed. This SD card is geared towards video enthusiast that wish to shoot in higher resolutions or in 360 degree without being hindered by the lack of storage.

At the moment, SanDisk is showcasing a prototype of this 1TB SD card and there's no word as to when this new high capacity SD card will be ready for the market. Additionally, don't expect this card to be affordable as the current highest capacity 512GB SD card costs US$ 300.
