Apple is not the only one focusing on China. Today, Samsung has launched a new Galaxy C-series that is tailored for the Chinese market. Both the Galaxy C5 and Galaxy C7 will be available by the end of June throughout China and it doesn't look like Samsung plans to bring the device out of the country.

From the looks of it, both the Galaxy C5 and Galaxy C7 are built to take on chinese made devices from Xiaomi, ZTE and Lenovo. The specs for both devices are very identical both in terms of specs and the actual hardware. They both have a slight camera hump, the antenna lines reminds me of the HTC One and there is a Pink Gold color option on both the Galaxy C5 and Galaxy C7.

But the big focus isn't on the design nor the performance you get for the price, it is the mobile payment system. Last week, Samsung announced their partnership with Alipay to expand their mobile payment services in China. Both the Galaxy C5 and Galaxy C7 features Samsung's fingerprint scanner for authentication and an NFC chip for mobile payments.

It does however lack an MST chip that made Samsung Pay universal. Alipay is by far the most popular payment service in China and it is supported everywhere throughout the country. The Galaxy C5 and Galaxy C7 is the first result from Samsung's partnership with Alipay and both devices come preinstalled with the Alipay application.
The Samsung Galaxy C5 will be priced at CN‎¥‎ 2,199 (~US$ 335 / ~MYR 1,350) for the 32GB model and CN‎¥‎ 2,399 (~US$ 365 / ~MYR 1,500) for the 64GB model and the larger Galaxy C7 will go for CN‎¥‎ 2,599 (~US$ 400 / ~MYR 1,600) for the 32GB model and CN‎¥‎ 2,799 (~US$ 430 / ~MYR 1,700). Both devices will be available in China next month.
