The new IPS Quantum Display on the LG G4 is 25% brighter
Over the weekend, a boatload of LG G4 images and information was leaked onto the internet and since then we know everything there is to know about the LG G4. But despite that, the show must go on. The LG G4 launch is still pegged on April 28 and today the company is continuing their teasers.
We already know, LG will be giving the LG G4 a new 5.5" Quad HD display and on paper the display is just a little better than the Quad HD display on the LG G3. But one of the specs from the leaked microsite which got us thinking was the quoted quantum display.
Prior to that, LG didn't quite mention anything about a quantum display but their teaser video today says it all. So, it's now official that the LG G4 features a new type of display called IPS Quantum Display.
From the video below, LG highlights that the new display shows an obvious difference compared to previous IPS panels by LG. The new IPS Quantum Display on the LG G4 is upto 25% brighter and thus making colors on the screen just pop out.
To recap, the LG G4 is powered by the Snapdragon 810 CPU and features a new 16MP f1.8 OIS camera which is capable of taking RAW images. Also, the interesting bit is that the LG G4 features a leather back and stitching through the middle.
