As reported last week, LG will be simultaneously launching their new flagship device in 7 regions on April 28. Ahead of the official announcement, LG Display; a subset of LG Electronics have revealed their new 5.5" Quad HD display which is definitely finding it's way onto the LG G4.

Comparing this to the display on the LG G3 last year, the size and pixel density of the display remains the same but the company says that the new IPS panel implemented improves the color quality and also the maximum brightness. In addition to that, LG Display is implementing something called Advanced In-Cell Touch (AIT) which enables the screen to respond to touches even when there's water droplets on the screen.

Overall, this new display reaffirms the reports about the LG G4 which is similarly sized compared to it's predecessor. LG is expected to upgrade the LG G4 with better hardware like the new Snapdragon 810 CPU which is also found on their LG G Flex 2 and the HTC One M9. Given that LG is retaining the size of the display, don't expect the LG G4 to be radically different compared to the LG G3 but the leather back might be something new?
