In addition to that, the bigger Mi 5s Plus also differs in the camera department. The smaller Mi 5s has a single 12MP Sony sensor while the larger Mi 5s Plus comes with two 12MP sensors, one of color and the other acts as a dedicated monochrome sensor similar to the Huawei P9.
But beyond that, these two devices are virtually identical in terms of hardware specifications but there is an interesting technological advancement that Xiaomi is only pushing with the smaller Mi 5s. That advancement is the fingerprint sensor which uses an ultrasonic sensor on the front of the device in place of a fingerprint sensor as a biometric authentication
Xiaomi will being offering the Mi 5s in China on September 29 for CN¥ 1,999 (~US$ 300 / ~MYR 1,200) and CN¥ 2,299 (~US$ 344 / ~MYR 1,400) for the 64 and 128GB models. The larger Mi 5s Plus in the other hand will go for CN¥ 2,299 (~US$ 344 / ~MYR 1,400) and CN¥ 2,599 (~US$ 390 / ~MYR 1,600). Both devices will support Xiaomi's mobile payment platform, Mi Pay
