Big DSLRs are still dominating the professional market today but in the prosumer market, mirrorless cameras are becoming increasingly popular due to it's size and performance. This is not the first time Canon is trying their luck with mirrorless camera, they tried and failed with the original EOS M. But this time around, the EOS M5 looks to be a contender in the mirrorless camera market. For starters, the EOS M5 is the first mirrorless camera from Canon to come with an EVF and to top things off, Canon also included a flippy-tilty-screen, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and NFC with the EOS M5.

The EOS M5 is still restricted to EF-M mount lenses but the camera sensor included this time around is much better. Canon's EOS M5 comes with a 24MP APS-C sized camera (crop factor 1.6x) that features Canon's Dual Pixel AF technology that's present in cameras like the 80D and 5D Mark IV.

Canon will begin offering the new EOS M5 by November 2016 for an MSRP of US$ 1,099 (~MYR 4,550) which includes an EF-M 18-150mm f3.5-6.3 IS STM zoom kit lens. For the body only, the EOS M5 will cost US$ 979.99 (~MYR 4,050)
