Microsoft is releasing a new update to their Visual Studio IDE which brings it up to Update 3. This new version of Visual Studio doesn't feature any visual or major changes to the IDE as Microsoft is focusing on the underlying changes with this new update.

The update which is available today focuses on improving performance and fixing reported issues with Update 2. But there is some new things like the release of .NET Core 1.0 which requires you to update to Visual Studio 2015 Update 3. Just keep in mind that you need to update to the latest version of Visual Studio before installing the .NET Core Tools for Visual Studio which include the new .NET Core 1.0.

Additionally, this new release of Visual Studio also includes Xamarin 4.1 which includes support for Apple's tvOS. Learn more about all the new changes and the known issues in this new update here
