Under the new Google leadership by newfound CEO Sundar Pichai, the company is announcing Android Experiments which is a brand new micro-site to promote unique Android applications. Concurrently, the site now features only 20 applications which feature creative and interesting interaction methods.

But that number however is expected to increase in the coming weeks as Google is starting to accept application submissions from developers to be featured on this new site. While the applications must be unique and implement interactive ways to interface with the applications, Google says that submitted applications must also be open-source in order to be featured on the site.

As for consumers, this is a new site for Android users to take a look at innovative new applications and you're sure to find something that suits your needs here. You can try these applications through the site and while Google is accepting Android applications, they can either be apps for smartphones and also for Android Wear.
