For weeks, the new radar was leaks on the brand new Moto G and today at a special event in NYC, the Lenovo owned company unveiled three new smartphones. One of them is the new third generation Moto G which comes with an IPX7 rating. That means that the new Moto G is safe from a dip in the pool, but is not secure to keep dust out of it.

Besides being able to take a 30 minute swim, the new Moto G is still a pretty solid Android smartphone. Powering it is Snapdragon 410 CPU, 8GB (1GB RAM) or 16GB (2GB RAM) of expandable storage, a 5" HD display and a 2,470mAh battery that will run through the day.

The front of the device comes with dual front speakers and a 5MP camera but that's about it form the front. But looking at the back of the device, the Moto G now comes with a new 13MP camera which is just a powerful as the one found on the Nexus 6. Another interesting inclusion is Moto Maker, yes Motorola is bringing it's industry leading customizations to the mid-range Moto G.

Users will be able to customize quite a lot about the new Moto G but like before, this customization option is only available in some regions. Overall, the new Moto G looks like a solid new 4G LTE smartphone that runs a pure version of Android. No word on when it'll come to Malaysia yet but it is available in more than 60 countries in North America, Latin America, Europe and Asia today for $179 (~RM 682)
