Microsoft's latest partneship integrates Office Online into Box
Continuing on Microsoft's global software push to bring Microsoft software everywhere, the latest addition is Box, the cloud storage service. Similar to Dropbox's partnership with Microsoft from late last year, Box is following on by integrating Office Online into their cloud storage service to enable customers to directly edit documents through Box.
Likewise, the native Office Online experience on Box is similar to that of Microsoft's own OneDrive and documents edited through Office Online can be directly saved into Box. In addition to that, Box users can not only directly create and edit Office documents but they'll soon also be able to use Office Online's collaboration feature for documents.
For now, this Office Online integration will only exist on the web but soon enough, Box will be bringing this feature to their Android, iOS and Windows applications. Check out the short demo of this new feature in action.
