Huawei recently launched their flagship P8 device in Malaysia and it looks like yet another one of their smartphones will be making it's way here. The Huawei Honor 7 is a brand new flagship device under Huawei's Honor brand which has been making waves throughout Asia in the past. Just like their recent flagship device, the Honor 7 is a premium device inside out.

Covered with aluminum which is being offered in three classic shades (grey, silver and gold), the new Huawei Honor 7 has a nicely sized 5.2" 1080P display and the entire package is powered by the company's own 64-bit kirin 935 chipset which implements the big.Little architecture with 8 cores. Besides that, there is 3GB of RAM, 16GB of expandable storage for the base model (64GB option also available), Android 5.0 Lollipop with EMUI 3.1 and LTE support.

The main highlight of the new Honor 7 however is it's 20MP camera on the back which is using a Sony sensor and is paired up with a phase detection system to aid in focusing and also an f2.0 aperture. Interestingly, on the rear is also a fingerprint scanner which looks like the one from their Ascend Mate series. Jumping back to there front, there is an 8MP wide angle camera for all your selfies.

Finally, it's the price and like all Honor devices, the Honor 7 is quite nicely priced. The base 16GB model goes for only $322 (~ RM 1,200) and the step up dual SIM LTE model will cost $33 more (~ RM 1,300). The top of the line 64GB model will cost a steeper $400 (~ RM 1,500). Overall, Huawei's new Honor 7 smartphone looks like a pretty solid device overall and expect to see it being offered in Malaysia pretty soon.
