Sony introduces two new PlayStation 4 consoles
Microsoft recently released their updated gaming console and now it's time for Sony to do the same thing. At a launch event today, Sony showed off the new PlayStation 4 Pro and PlayStation 4 Slim. According to Sony, the new PlayStation 4 Slim has the same performance and features of the original PlayStation 4 that was announced back in 2013. The only difference is the support for HDR content and the form factor which is 30% smaller than the OG PS4.
On the other hand, the new PlayStation 4 Pro is an upgrade over the original PlayStation 4 but it's not a drastic change. Sony says that the extra processing power that they included with the PlayStation 4 Pro will enable it to perform much better in PlayStation VR games as well as the ability to play 4K content and games.
Sony will begin offering the PlayStation 4 Slim next Thursday (September 15) and the more powerful PlayStation 4 Pro will only hit the shelves on November 10.
