Chinese maker Xiaoyi is not the only one with a new Micro 4/3 camera at Photokina 2016 as Olympus is taking wraps off their new entry interchangeable lens camera. Meet the new Olympus Pen E-PL8 which is the spiritual successor to the E-PL7 that launched back in 2014. By far the biggest change with this model is the new cleaner design.

There's still no EVF on the Olympus E-PL series and the screen of the E-PL8 still flips downwards for all those selfies. This mirrorless camera does come with Wi-Fi built in for controlling the camera and transferring photos to a smartphone.

But beyond that, this looks to be another generational update to Olympus' entry level mirrorless camera offering. Olympus says they will begin offering the new Pen E-PL8 beginning October 2016 for US$ 549 (~MYR 2,270) for the body and US$ 649 (~MYR 2,600) for a bundle with their 14-42mm IIR kit lens.
