The 2016 Rio Summer Olympics will be starting in the next couple of weeks and one of the Olympic sponsors is Samsung. Simillar to the special edition Galaxy S III they released during the 2012 London Olympics, Samsung is back at it again with the Galaxy S7 edge Olympic Games Limited Edition.

Samsung says that they have partnered up with the International Olympic Committee once again to equip 12,500 athletes competing in the 2016 Rio Olympics with this exclusive smartphone alongside a pair of matching Gear IconX earbuds.

In term of the actual hardware, this limited edition Olympic phone is basically just a Galaxy S7 edge with a custom paintjob and a special Olympic theme. The phone comes with a custom paintjob just like the Batman edition Galaxy S7 edge that Samsung released a couple weeks back.

While the phone will be given to olympians taking part in this year's Summer Olympics, Samsung will also be putting the Galaxy S7 edge Olympic Games Limited Edition up for sale in select countries (US, China, Korea, Brazil, etc)
