Yes launches their 4G LTE network and a RM 399 VoLTE smartphone

After teasing the launch of their brand new 4G LTE network (built by Samsung) during the Samsung Galaxy J series launch a couple weeks back, the YTL owned Yes is officially unveiling their new data and voice plans. The highlight of this launch is definitely on Yes' new 4G LTE network which they say is the largest in the country (85% coverage) but alongside their new 4G LTE plans, they are also showing off the Yes Altitude, a Yes branded smartphone capable of VoLTE.

As for the actual data plans themselves. Yes' new Double Data launch promo is heroed by the Yes Double Down Plan which costs RM 70 per month and will come with 24GB of data (16GB 4G LTE + 8GB 4G Broadband) alongside unlimited calls and SMS within their network. Additionally, Yes will also be offering other Postpaid but the focus seems to be placed on the Double Down Plan.

Jumping to Prepaid plans, Yes' offerings begin at RM 30 per month for a 4GB quota and goes up to RM 88 for a plan that offers 14GB of data. As for the SIM card itself, the Yes Prepaid starter pack costs RM 10 and will include RM 5 preloaded credit and 500MB of 4G LTE internet. It's also worth noting that Yes Prepaid subscribers will be able to enjoy free basic internet and free calls and SMS within the Yes network.
