Samsung's Gear VR Innovation Edition for the Galaxy S6 comes to Malaysia for RM 799
Last year when the Galaxy Note 4 was announced in IFA 2015, Samsung also announced a brand new partnership with Oculus (the Virtual Reality company which raised $2.4 million through KickStarter and is now owned by Facebook) to create a virtual reality headset for smartphones. The Gear VR was born and since the Galaxy Note 4 is physically bigger than the Galaxy S6, Samsung also released a Gear VR which supports both the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge.
With that said, today Samsung Malaysia is making the Gear VR Innovator Edition for the Galaxy S6 available in Malaysia. Whilst also promoting the not so new Galaxy S6, Samsung will be holding roadshows to promote this new Virtual Reality headset and also to introduce the public to the immersive world of Virtual Reality.

Currently, there is an ongoing roadshow in Pavillion KL which will last through the weekend (10-12 July) and Samsung will be showcasing what the Galaxy S6 and Gear VR Innovator Edition is capable of. If you can't make a trip down to KL this weekend, don't worry as Samsung will be holding another roadshow on the 25th and 26th of July in Sunway Pyramid to promote the Gear VR Innovator Edition for the Galaxy S6.
As for pricing and availability, Samsung will be exclusively selling the Gear VR at Samsung Experience Stores throughout the country. (Plaza Lowyat, Setia City Mall, The Gardens Mall, 1Utama Shopping Centre, Pavilion KL, Suria KLCC, Mid Valley Megamall, Sunway Pyramid, Gurney Paragon Penang, Gurney Plaza Penang, Sutera Mall Johor, and City Square Johor). The Gear VR Innovator Edition will be sold at these outlets for RM 799 and stocks are said to be limited.
