Apple refreshes existing lineup of iPods with new hardware and color options, prices start at RM 189

As expected, today Apple is refreshing their entire iPod lineup with up to date hardware and also some new color options too. Probably the biggest update is to the 2015 iPod Touch which now comes with the iPhone 6's 64-bit A8 processor and M8 motion coprocessor. The camera on the back has been upgraded to a new 8MP (from 5MP) iSight camera alongside the new gold, dark blue and pink color options.

“iPod touch gives customers around the world access to Apple Music, the App Store and iOS, the world’s most advanced mobile operating system, starting at just $199,” said Greg Joswiak, Apple’s vice president of iPhone, iPod and iOS Product Marketing.

Also for the first time ever, Apple will be offering a 128GB storage option for the iPod Touch but that'll cost you RM 1,599 ($399). Of course Apple will also be offering the 2015 iPod Touch with standard storage option like 16, 32 and 64GB. Do note that the 128GB iPod Touch is exclusively available through the Apple online store only.

Yes, the 2015 iPod Touch will indefinitely be upgraded to iOS 9 and will be able to run Apple Music and the 2015 iPod Touch still features the tiny 4" Retina display from the iPhone 5/5S.

As for both the iPod Nano and iPod Shuffle, the designs and features remain the same but just like the 2015 iPod Touch, both the Nano and Shuffle will come in the new gold, dark blue and pink color options alongside the existing color options.
