Meizu, a China exclusive manufacturer has just taken wraps off their brand new entry level smartphone. This is the sequel to their affordable Meizu M1 Note from last year this year, they are keeping the identical design but improving on the internals of the device.

With the new $130 (about RM 480) price tag, Meizu is still keeping the big 5.5" 1080P display but the old octa core processor has been swapped with a newer octa core MT6753 processor from MediaTek paired with 2GB of RAM.

Behind the device, there is a 13MP camera paired up with a dual tone flash module and the front houses a 5MP camera. Like all big phones these days, the Meizu M2 Note has a large 3,100mAh battery to power up that big display.

The stock 16GB model will weigh you down $130 and for $30 extra, the 32GB model is yours but only if you live in China. Yes, Meizu still hasn't expanded out of China and there's no indication that they'll jump onto the international markets pretty soon. But history has shown that some Malaysia electronics shop do bring in Meizu devices but at a steeper price.
