China buyers will apparently get a more powerful Lumia 640XL
Microsoft unveiled two new Microsoft branded phones at MWC a few weeks back and Stephen said that both the Lumia 640 and Lumia 640XL will be hitting shelves early next month. Progressively, the device has been certified for use in China and this time around, the TENAA certification does not leak out the device prematurely but it does reveal that the Lumia 640XL being offered in China will have beefier hardware.
Besides being able to capture China's TD-LTE network, the region specific Lumia 640XL will apparently be powered by a 2.2GHz processor which is definitely not the Snapdragon 400 found on the standard L640XL due to it's clock speed (S400 maxes out at 1.7GHz). The unnamed quad core processor is then bundled up with 2GB of RAM which is double the amount of the original 640XL.
