Back in 2013, both LG and Samsung were battling it out to release the first 'curved display' smartphone. In the end none of them garnered much success with the devices mainly because of the tight availability and the high price tag which both the Galaxy Round and LG G Flex beared. Just a few months ago during IFA, Samsung shown off the Galaxy Note Edge which was the definition of a high end futuristic smartphone with a curved display on the right which at this time does not do much. Well now it seems that LG has been working hard to show off the successor to their original creation of a curved smartphone. Korean news site Naver, says that the device will be housing the new 64-bit Snapdragon 810 processor and will also feature the Snapdragon 810's tri-band LTE connectivity. In terms of looks and other specs, the LG G Flex 2 is expected to inherit quite a number of design cues from the successful LG G3. Stay tuned for our continuous news coverage of CES next week where we'll give you the ins and outs of the latest in mobile technology

Microsoft Lumia 535 Now Available in Malaysia for RM429

Lumia 535 Malaysia
Early in November, Microsoft announced the first Lumia device to come with the Microsoft branding. The Lumia 535 is by no means an affordable flagship device but it's made to be an entry point for Windows Phone for everyone to give Microsoft's mobile operating system a try without much compromise. A few days back, Microsoft Mobile Malaysia took the opportunity during their early-Christmas party to officially introduce the Lumia 535. The model coming into Malaysia is the dual SIM variant and besides that, the device has a 5" qHD display, a quad core Snapdragon 200 processor, 5MP front and rear facing cameras and comes with Windows Phone 8.1 with the Lumia Denim update. Also to mention that unlike the Lumia 530 and Lumia 630 announced earlier this year, Microsoft has bumped up the RAM on the Lumia 535 to 1GB so that users will not be restricted to download games and apps which requires at least 1GB of RAM. I had a short time to play around the device and from what i can see is that the core Nokia build quality is still evident (but the buttons do feel a little too mush for my preference) with the Snapdragon 200 processor onboard, it's clear that Microsoft is trying to lower down the price.
The Lumia 535 will be available in Nokia stores throughout the country starting today (6 December) for only MYR 429 and for the first 1000 buyers, Microsoft is including a gift pack worth MYR 99 which has a screen protector, a 16GB memory card, keychain, a Christmas notepad and also a 2200mAh power bank.
