Samsung announces their third Tizen smartphone, the Samsung Z2

Samsung's Tizen smartphone operating system has been out for a couple of years now and while the platform is primarily known to power Samsung's line of smartwatches and fitness trackers, Samsung has been working on bringing it to affordable smartphones. Enter, the Samsung Z2 which is the third Tizen OS smartphone and Samsung is targeting this phone for the Indian market.

In terms of sheer specifications, the Samsung Z2 is not going to win any awards but this phone only costs Rs 4,950 (~US$ 75 / RM 300). For that price, Samsung is also including a free trial of Jio's voice and data services as well as access to Jio's multimedia applications. Samsung will begin selling the Samsung Z2 in India beginning August 29
