Earlier this year, HP unveiled the world's thinnest laptop which comes under their new HP Spectre brand and comes with a new design language. The 10.4mm thin device is designed to be a portable device that doesn't compromise of performance. Laptops in this form factor usually come with a Core M processor but the HP Spectre comes with a 6th generation Core i5 / i7 processor.

Additionally, HP managed to pull off this design by ditching the legacy USB ports and putting two USB Type-C ports with Thunderbolt to handle the I/O. That's not to say HP didn't compromise, the biggest compromise of this supposedly high-end laptop is the 1080P screen which isn't that bad but it does look inferior compared to competing thin and light laptops.

HP Malaysia will begin offering the new HP Spectre through their official distributors beginning July 2016 and the base Core i5 model will cost RM 5,999 while the top of the line Core i7 model will cost RM 6,900
