Xiaomi has been making smartphones for quite a number of years right now and while the company has made tablets and phablets before, the new Xiaomi Mi Max will be the biggest smartphone from the chinese smartphone maker. With a screen size of 6.44-inch and a 7.5mm thin metal clad body, the Mi Max is designed to be big and premium but the price is pretty budget friendly.

What's interesting about Xiaomi's new large screened smartphone is that it will come with the company's new MIUI 8 skin but it looks like the device will not be available outside of Asia. Xiaomi will begin shipping the Mi Max in China starting May 17 with a starting price of 1499 Chinese Yuan (~RM 930) for the 3GB RAM model and goes up to 1999 Chinese Yuan (~RM 1,225) for the top of the line 128GB model with 4GB of RAM
