Internally, the Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 is powered by Intel's Atom X5-Z8500 processor which is a 64-bit part fabricated in the 14nm process. Beyond the new internal and external hardware, Xiaomi is also introducing their new Mi Pad 2 tablet with a USB Type C port for extra future-proofing. Other additions include some software enhancements which disables the capacitive keys when viewing content in landscape more and there's also a new Reading mode in MIUI which reduces blue light and thus preventing eye fatigue.

Just like before, the Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 will start at RMB 999 (~MYR 662) for the 16GB model and RMB 1,299 ( ~MYR 860) for the 64GB model. Additionally, there will also be a version of the Mi Pad 2 that will be running Windows 10, not word as to when that will become available and how this Windows 10 version will play out.
