Samsung's new Galaxy A8 is a very premium android phone exclusive to China
Just as expected, Samsung is unveiling the Galaxy A8 in China today and the brand new device from Samsung premium Galaxy A lineup of device is probably it's best one yet. With a 5.9mm thin aluminum body, the Galaxy A8 is Samsung's thinnest smartphone to data but the device comes with not too much of compromises.
The Galaxy A8 is powered by a octa core Snapdragon 615 processor which is quite a popular silicone option amongst mid-range android devices these days. Also included with the Galaxy A8 is 2GB of RAM, 16GB of expandable storage, a big 5.7" 1080P AMOLED display and a non-removable 3,050mAh battery.
The frame of the Galaxy A8 might be a premium aluminum one but the back of the Galaxy A8 is still indeed plastic. Interestingly enough, the Galaxy A8 features a new 16MP ISOCELL camera alongside a 5MP f1.9 camera on the front. Besides that, the Galaxy A8 also includes a fingerprint home button just like on the Galaxy S6.
With these dimensions, the Galaxy A8 is indefinitely the most compact and Android device out there at the moment and look at those slim bezels. With this new device, Samsung is planning to turn heads and we can only expect that moving forward, more Samsung devices will look better.
At the moment, the Galaxy A8 is only available in China and there's no official word as to when Samsung will be making the Galaxy A8 available in other regions like Malaysia.
