Nvidia's new Geforce GTX Titan X is yours today for only $999
Making a surprise entrance at GDC 2015, today Nvidia is making the GTX Titan X official and the card will be available at stores now for a magical price of $999. The Titan X is Nvidia's latest offering in the single GPU game and as of writing this article, the Titan X is indeed the most powerful single precision GPU money can buy.
In terms of specifications, the Titan X is still based on the Maxwell architecture and shares the same GM 200 core like on the GTX 780TI. The raw specs of the card include the 3,072 CUDA cores, 192 TMUs, 96 ROPs and a 384 bit memory bus. Another thing the Titan X springs forward is the massive 12GB of memory which will make multiple monitor setups a breeze.
All in all, the Titan X has a 250w TDP and is powered through dual 8 pin connectors. As for the design of the card, this is the first time Nvidia is giving the 'Titan' shroud a dark color. Currently there are already a couple of Titan X's being offered by board partners but only reference design cards are being offered at the moment.
