At IFA this year Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Note 4 during their Unpacked event and it's been a month since then. Earlier today, Samsung officially launched the Galaxy Note 4 alongside the Galaxy Gear S in Malaysia. Customers can get the Galaxy Note 4 at Samsung stores this friday (17 October) for RM 2,499 and subsequently the Galaxy Gear S will go on sale sometime in November for RM 1,099. The Galaxy Note 4 variant which is being offered in Malaysia is the Exynos based one opposed to the Snapdragon one. Bearing the model number SM-N910C, this model features Samsung's 1.9GHz Exynos Octa core processor which is based off the 20nm manufacturing process. Additionally, Samsung is giving away a free Gear Circle (a stylish bluetooth headset) for the first 100 customers to purchase the Galaxy Note 4 at the 5 Samsung roadshows taking place this weekend.
  1. Kuala Lumpur: Sunway Pyramid Blue Concourse Area
  2. Penang: Samsung Store, Lot L6.16, L6.17 & L6.18, Gurney Paragon Penang
  3. Johor Bahru: Samsung Store, Lot J2-02 & J2-03, City Square Johor
  4. Sabah: Samsung Store, Lot G65, G66 & G67, Centre Point Kota Kinabalu
  5. Pahang: Samsung Store, GC-E, Kuantan Parade Pahang
Comparatively, the Galaxy Note 4 is RM 100 more than the Galaxy Note 3 but this can be somehow justified because the device is more premium feeling than it's predecessor and Samsung is trying to slot the Galaxy Note 4 in between the price of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus which is expected to be at RM 2,299 and RM 2,499. There is no word whether the Galaxy Note Edge will be coming to Malaysia but it's safe to say that the Note Edge will not be coming to Malaysia because there isn't the demand and the fact that the device is categorized as a limited production device.
