HTC Announces the Desire 826 with Ultrapixel selfie camera
HTC has been quite successful with their premium flagship HTC One lineup for the past two years and alongside that is the Desire series of devices which come with most of the signature features of the HTC One series of devices. Last year, the Desire 820 and Desire 816 made an impact by being both affordable and feature packed. At CES this year, HTC is continuing that effort with the Desire 826, a 5.5" device which looks reminiscent of the recently announced HTC Desire Eye.
Being the very first HTC device to come preloaded with Android 5.0 lollipop, the Desire 826 also features Qualcomm's new Snapdragon 615 processor which is 64-bit and has 8 cores. The display is a big 5.5" 1080p panel and the device comes with 2GB of RAM as well as 16GB of storage expandable via a microSD card. With a 2,600mAh battery and LTE support, it looks like the device isn't set to last too long. Well what makes the Desire 826 special is not it's hidden Boom Sound speakers but it's front facing camera. HTC is putting their 4MP Ultrapixel camera on the front opposed to putting a flash and a 13MP camera like on the Desire Eye. In theory, the 2µ sensor on the Ultrapixel camera will make low light shots looks brighter.
