The time has finally come and Maxis has went ahead and revealed that their 4G LTE network is now live in certain areas. On their promo page they basically tell us that LTE can translate into super fast speeds. But there is still one problem about this is that currently in Malaysia only the iPhone 5 supports LTE natively so i am guessing that during the official launch maxis will be announcing a few LTE enabled device. Nexus 4 May Come To Malaysia As Soon As Next Week

9:47:00 AM dickwyn 0 Comments

The iPhone 5 has just landed in Malaysia yesterday and the Lumia 920 launching in Malaysia next Friday, the last high end device of 2012 which is not in Malaysia yet is the LG Nexus 4. The Nexus 4 is Google's latest flagship android phone and it is rocking the latest version of android which is 4.2 Jellybean. Currently the Nexus 4 is facing backorrders in the countries it is available at because of the low price and the Nexus phone status. We still don't know when it will come to Malaysia but previous news led to a launch before Christmas. With Christmas just 2 weeks away it is very prominant that the LG will launch the Nexus 4 late next week. The status of the Nexus 4 on the LG Malaysia site is now listed as Coming Soon but not pricing has been revealed. In Malaysia LG will be distributing the Nexus 4 which means the price will be skyrocket compared to the prices for the Nexus 4 on the Play Store. In this case Google is not here to subsidize the price of the device so LG will sell it at the normal pricing which is about MYR 2,000. Expect to see this device launch next week.

iPhone 5 Video Overview

5:38:00 AM dickwyn 0 Comments

The iPhone 5 is set to launch in Malaysia on December 14th or next friday and the reception of this device should be quite good because there are quite an amount of loyal iPhone users. By next weekend the official Apple retailers like Machines and Epicenter will be filled with people eager to see the iPhone 5. Not to mention the telecos are yet to reveal bundling prices for the device and there is sure to be a line outside the stores selling the iPhone 5 on the day itself. Well here is a video overview of the iPhone 5 shot by myself for The Technology Of Today at the Festive Walk Apple Store in Hong Kong. My first impression of the device after holding it for the first time is that it really is magically thin and is really light; this is a you have to feel it to believe it moment. Anyways in the past few weeks i while walking around the shopping centres i also saw a few people holding the iPhone 5. Enjoy the video.

Nokia Lumia 920 and Lumia 820 Will Be Coming To Malaysia In Mid December

2:38:00 AM dickwyn 0 Comments

The Lumia 920 and Lumia 820 was rumored to come to Malaysia around this month right after Singapore got it. As usual we will get the device a bit later than our friendly neighbor. Recently Asri of Nokiaku.my cited that an anonymous source has spilled the beans by revealing the pricing for the 2 windows phone 8 devices from Nokia. The price for the Lumia 920 will be at MYR2,000 and the Lumia 820 in the other hand will be priced at MYR 1,599. These prices are a bit cheaper than the one in Singapore. These two devices however will launch as early as the middle of this month or as late as early 2013. Additionally Asri also mentioned that these devices will be publically launched in Pavilion KL, the same place Nokia launched the Lumia 800 and 710 last year.
